Take a trip back in time along the Rivière à Mars. You will discover the lifestyle and land use practices of the indigenous peoples following the arrival of Europeans on this continent. You will visit a re-enactment of a coureur-de-bois summer camp, where you will meet a First Nations couple. You will see a traditional-style “wigwam” and learn about the hunting, trapping and fishing techniques of these people who lived in harmony with nature.

As a bonus, you will have the chance to taste some traditional plants and bannock, a staple food of the indigenous peoples in the past as well as today.

A remarkable voyage to the heart of aboriginal traditions, customs and culture.
